The hard part of recording human work is not any one of these. It is that the same people have to do all three — a sensor without calibration is noise, and calibration without a use case is a demo.Najtrudniejsza nie jest żadna z nich z osobna. A 3D-printed exoskeleton with a rotary potentiometer on every joint and an IMU on the back of the hand. Designed, printed, assembled and revised in house. A desktop application: live 3D preview of the hand, a fourteen-gesture calibration solved for each wearer, session recording with synchronised video. The dataDane
Calibrated per-joint time series with the session metadata attached — who wore it, what the task was, which trial. We started with the hand because it is the hardest thing on a person to instrument: more than twenty degrees of freedom inside the volume of a fist. The three layers do not change if the thing being measured is a wrist, an arm, a tool, or the grip an operator is holding. Rotary potentiometers sit on the exoskeleton at each joint. No cameras, no occlusion, nothing inferred between the movement and the number. The fit is solved in software rather than in plastic, so the same hardware moves from one person to the next without being resized or reprinted.Przy każdym stawie egzoszkieletu siedzi potencjometr obrotowy. Żadnych kamer, żadnych przesłonięć, żadnego zgadywania między ruchem a liczbą.
